Dr. Martemyanov is Chair and Professor, Department of Neuroscience, Scripps Research. His laboratory is involved in elucidating basic mechanistic principles in transmitting and regulating GPCR signaling in the nervous system. His Lab was also the first to show that genetic suppression of GPR139 in mice dissociates the effects of opioids on analgesia and withdrawal. Dr. Martemyanov has extensive training in GPCR pharmacology, cell signaling, animal models, and behavior. Dr. Kirill Co-founded EvoDenovo and he serves as chair of the Scientific Advisory Board.
